Unrelated Shoes.

I just finished watching a show where one of the characters is dismayed to find out she has worn mismatched shoes to work...

Well, there is a wardrobe malfunction I've never encountered!
Yet for some reason I get the feeling I'd be amused by it... Even welcome it!

One of the lessons I learned from Pippi Longstocking is that mismatched socks are perfectly okay, now I'm starting to believe that wearing mismatched shoes for a day could be a fun experiment.

The next time I wake up taking myself too seriously, I will confront the shoe arsenal with this in mind.

Do you dare join? :)
Think of the strange sensations that will descend on you!

  1. Many good lessons can be learned from Pippi. :)
Also, love the examples you showed where it's basically the same shoe but in different colors. With black tights too, could be awesome.

  2. I love those green and blue shoes - they would look gorgeous as a mismatched pair.

  3. I like the shoes that are identical, but different colors. This could start a trend :)

  4. So funny, your post reminded me of the day one of my co-workers wore mismatched shoes to work. She realized it when she was getting out of her car... I, too, like matching shoes, but I kind of also like the look of the red and blue shoes with the black tights.

  5. HAHA I would have never even considered doing this. I think it would be funny to mess with people one day, but you gotta do it right like in the pics like same shoe but different color… then again it's about breaking the rules so maybe there is no "right".

  6. Were you by chance watching Breaking Bad? :-)

I don't know that I could do mismatched shoes myself, but I really like those heels with the black tights... Maybe I'd have to start small.

I guess the long lessons to learn is: if you have nothing to hide, go ahead and wear mismatched shoes. :)

  8. I've done this more than once..more than twice... once was when I was PG and couldn't see my feet. Once I wore 2 different black shoes to church and I have worn a black and a navy or brown flip flop more than once..it gives me an odd feeling!

  11. I have never worn mismatched shoes but I once went to school in my slippers. So funny! Pippy Longstocking has long been a role model around here, and nowadays they even sell a dozen mismatched socks in a pack.
