The Process.

There are times when you're so deeply taken by what you're doing, that the room around you could be changing colors and you wouldn't notice....

I was finishing this new drawing and something like that happened. It was only when I took a step back and the spell broke, that I realized the wonderful mess I had made.

Markers and pens and pencils and colored pencils. Everywhere. Barely enough room left for the actual drawing pad.

Love it.

The finished illustration is part of a post for Kanelstrand —it's now live, go take a look!
Something you can do to keep the creative gears turning . . .

Merry Weekend, everyone.
(Look up for the Harvest Moon!)

  2. Know the feeling - when I'm making a new toy, the time just flies by! Wish one could sew and blog at the same time - got any ideas on trying to do it? Come round and see the toys sometime - you can read about them at www.ColdhamCuddliescalling.blogspot.com and I'd welcome comments and followers! Will return the favour, of course!

    All the best! Isobel

  3. That's just like me when I'm working on something. I don't even notice the chaos that starts to form around me. It's the best feeling, isn't it? I need to dive into a project right now; there's no better stress reliever than to create.

I'm off to check out your post for Sonya. :)

  5. The time of creation is magical. When you look back at it you realize how time flew and that you were, in fact, in another dimension. And that is what brings us closer to that higher state of mind...

You are so talented and such inspiration to me!
